Chelle Tatianna Menendez received training at Duluth School of Ballet under Director Peter Garick whom in 1968 joined Canada’s internationally-renowned Royal Winnipeg Ballet. Additionally, Chelle received training under Susan McGraw, formerly of the Gainesville Ballet, as well as the Ruth Mitchell Dance Theatre, and conservatories in Switzerland and Germany. She also trained under Elaine Wadsworth, former dancer with Atlanta Ballet, Joffrey Ballet II, and the Metropolitan Opera Ballet. Last but not least, Chelle has always been under the watchful eye of her very own mother, former ballet dancer for the world renowned Dance Theater of Harlem and Duke Ellington Performing Arts School Company, D.C. Repertory under the direction of Mike Malone; with guest artists such as Debbie Allen and the late Miss Pearl Bailey. Her mother also danced on and off Broadway, including the Broadway Musical the Whiz under the direction of Geoffrey Holder.  While at DSB, Chelle became a teacher’s assistant; and eventually an instructor. She is also certified in dance syllabus for 3-6 year olds. Chelle has enjoyed sharing her love of teaching dance in and around the Atlanta area.

“LITTLE MERMAID” Story Ballet Class. This 40 minute fun filled thematic Ballet class will use the enchanting story of The Little Mermaid to teach basic Ballet, Creative movement and Drama using props, costumes and plenty of imagination! Come splash your mermaid tail with us as you join Ariel and friends in an exciting underwater adventure! Students must be potty trained, able to listen/ follow directions and confidently (and happily) separate from parent to attend class on their own (Parents will be able to observe class from the lobby).

TUITION: $72 (NO Registration fee!) please wear any style/color leotard tights and ballet shoes!
